We are celebrating our first Christmas here in Wilmington and we are thankful to be spending it with our daughter.
When we sold our historical landmark, the Ballentine-Spence House, in Fuquay-Varina, we took the opportunity to purge down from the 3,400 square feet to our current1,500 square feet condominium.
During the purge I was able to give away four Christmas trees, yards of garlands, 15 wreaths and more than a dozen containers of decorations. In my zeal of purging I gave away all of our Christmas tree toppers!
This year we are celebrating the birth of Jesus with our precious daughter’s Tweety Bird sock. The very same sock we used on our very first Christmas tree together in 1999. While this may be odd, it has definitely brought back many wonderful and sweet memories from over the years. Glancing up at our baby girl’s sock brings joyful laughter and happiness.
Life is truly an amazing journey. I am thankful for all of our family and friends and hope to spend more quality time with everyone in 2018.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I would love to hear from you and how you are doing this holiday season.
