My word for 2016 is Love

@laracasey Make it happen! the past few months I have been working through Goal Sheets created by Lara Casey. They have really helped me to focus, release, and grow.

By including someone else along my journey I have accepted accountability, support, and a world of encouragement. Every day we have the opportunity to make new choices. We choose our state of mind and mental well-being. What are you going to choose for yourself in 2016?

For me, I am trying to choose and believe that everyday is the best day of my life.

The saddest day of my life in 2015 was the day I found out that my dear friend, Alma Spring, had suddenly passed away from a brain aneurysm. She was light and love. Everyday of her life she was devoted to her family and friends. To be taken away in the prime of her life with children still at home needing their mother… we were all devastated. And through this grief I found God’s mercy and his true love. I learned that Alma had lived an amazing life and she still teaches us to love one another as each day passes.

You see, she had loving eyes, a beautiful heart and B+ blood (be positive). She donated her organs and blessed so many other people through her untimely passing; although for the recipients of her loving donations it was perfect timing.

She always said, “Be good to each other.” And so, in 2016 in honor of my dear friend and for all those I have yet to meet in my life, my one word to focus on this year is Love.

May you feel God’s love and may you love one another.

  1. I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend. What a beautiful way you honor her here and with your word going forward.

I chose a word this year for the first time: planful. I need it not only in business (where it’s actually easier) but in my home and family life.

    Thanks for a great post.
